The buckles I use are all high quality, solid and beautiful! Brass is rather shiny when new BUT does mellow to a soft glow! Unless stated the belts are double thickness leather, usually with a contrast colour on the back. They can be polished succesfully alongside your boots to keep them looking tickety boo!
