Retired styles...
Ren Cuming
My long established makers mark looking crisp and bold with my new rubber stamp. Very chuffed! Inside a pair of new Scribe journals in conker brown, shown here before the stitching begins.
What's the 'retired styles' about I hear you ask... just a quick heads up to let you know that following the Severe Pruning in the shop collections, I decided that too many items were basically all doing the same thing - how many different style purses which are the same size does a body need? Exactly, its just brain frying choosing isn't it.
So off I went with pen and paper and had a jolly good think and made a list, then crossed lots off, till it was all whittled down to a few. All bags and leather goods are now in a single Leather Goods collection, all shoes and boots in Footwear, and knitwear and dresses in Textiles - ALL products which I will most likely not be making more of are in the SALE collection, many at reduced prices.
If only decluttering the house was as easy 😂
Back to my worktable, Ren x

Deers and honeysuckle
After taking a few pictures of the giant honeysuckles on the way back from the Fairysteps studio I settled into cooking tea. Looked up from my chopping board and saw this cheeky mister having his tea!

Maisie sandals and cabbage patch
Mr Fairysteps in true self sufficiency spirit reinstated the long neglected vegetable garden. I don't know how he works so hard! Seen tending the potatoes here, but behind is the HUGE cage he built for the cabbages, mainly to keep cabbage white butterflies out as well as pigeons.

Claire, Im so glad you Fairysteps have offered some comfort during a challenging time, swelling is a rotter, and this past heat doesn’t help. Sending grateful thanks, Ren x
