Shin height, woodland Borrower inspired, handmade leather boots, made in quality, supple leathers. Stitched double leaf applique detail. Laces to tie. Great for everyday, everywhere stomping in comfort. As with all our boots, they feature a deep opening on the vamp allowing easy access. These are going to be your new best friends. Imp side point toe shape. The inner tongues stained on the lining a bit whilst being steamed and lasted, but nothing visible on the boot outer :) Do not wear with white tights...

Handcrafted in leather colour: Spotted conker antiqued, damselfly, larch green.

Height from ground: approx 22 cm
Boot circumference taken at 15 cm from top of sole and laced tight: 27 cm circumference (loosely laced 34 cm).

Sizing


Footwear available in sizes UK 2 to UK 7 with styles designed to adapt to various width fittings adjusting from narrow to wide.


How to measure
Use the diagram below to take your length measurement (both feet), and compare to size chart below. Allow wiggle room based on your own personal preference.


Our shoes are generous. Customers nearly always 'size down' so as a general rule, order one size down from your usual commercial shoe size, eg: usual size = EU 39 / UK 6, order size = EU 38 / UK 5. Half sizes should go down to the next full size below.


Place a sheet of paper and your heel against a straight wall. With pencil held upright, mark the longest toe. If ordering boots wear socks when measuring, for shoes, feet should be barefoot.

UK 2 - Length: 22.9 cm
UK 3 - Length: 23.8 cm  
UK 4 - Length: 24.7 cm  
UK 5 - Length: 25.6 cm

Example; my foot length measurement is 25.5 cm and I am a high street shoe size of UK 7. I select size UK 6 for boots & shoes.

Conversions are approximate, measure before ordering & check the chart. An International customer who wears a US size 8 would convert to a UK 6, but will need to select UK 5 when ordering, thus following the 'down one size' rule.

Please note: Customers are responsible for taking accurate measurements following the detailed instructions given. Footwear is excluded from returns or exchanges (see delivery page).

Materials

Boots are made using premium leather hides from gold-rated Italian tanneries, alongside world renowned Vibram soling for durability, sustainability and comfort - A high-quality pair of handmade boots are designed to last decades.

I work with a deliberately limited palette, colours chosen for longevity and ease of wear over many years, but brighter limited edition colours also feature as seasonal specials.

Maker

All fairysteps footwear is designed and made by me, Ren, in my woodland studio. I have been making shoes, boots, and bags for decades, working entirely by hand using vintage sewing machines and traditional techniques.

Care

Leather likes to be loved. Apply a good quality polish such as Renapur on a regular basis to keep your boots looking beautiful.

Delivery

All footwear is ready-made. Please allow 1 - 3 days for dispatch.

Shipping is available to England, Scotland, Wales, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Shipping rates are shown at checkout, and full tracking details are provided when your order is dispatched.

International customers are responsible for any customs charges incurred on arrival. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to ship to European countries.

USA customers:

Orders are sent via the Royal Mail PDDP scheme, allowing parcels to move smoothly through customs. Usual customs charges may still apply, as before.

In the unlikely event that your parcel arrives damaged, please do not discard the packaging. Photograph the parcel before opening, as this is required to submit a claim. Without this evidence, a claim cannot be processed.

If your parcel does not arrive, please contact the postal service using the tracking number supplied at dispatch.

UK orders are fully insured. International orders are insured up to £250; any refund for loss or non-delivery is limited to this amount.

Returns

All footwear is final sale and non-refundable. Each pair is carefully handcrafted using premium materials and many hours of skilled work. Fall in love — these are made to be cherished.
